CUPITT’S WINERY

If you fancy spending the day tasting award-winning wines, learning firsthand about the wine making process and enjoying fresh local produce  while surrounded by lush countryside, then Cupitts is for you!

The Cupitt family have a true passion for wine making, producing wine with a distinct old world quality influenced by traditional French and Italian methods. Do yourself a favour and make your way to their Cellar Door – open Wednesday to Sunday with no bookings required.

Want the complete Cupitt’s experience? Be sure to book ahead for the winery tour and spend some time meandering through the vineyards and barrel room as you learn about everything from the grapes to fermentation.

Craft beer aficionados can revel in the next stop on the tour – Cupitt Craft Brewers. Operating since 2014, the microbrewery offers tasting paddles to wet your whistle.

Nothing pairs better with wine than cheese and Cupitt’s has that covered too. The tour visits the Cupitt’s Fromagerie, where you’ll learn about their range of boutique cheeses and be sure to find something you love. The tour finishes up with a tasting at the Cellar Door, where you can enjoy a drink and take in the property’s impressive views.

Tours of the vineyards and the estate are on offer for visitors keen to get out and enjoy the fresh country air and learn about the property’s history as the first European settlement on the South Coast. Now fully restored, the charming estate still operates from the original buildings. The tasting room can be found in an old dairy shed and is open 7 days a week between 11am and 5pm.

A true highlight of Silos Estate has to be the award-winning restaurant. Dine alfresco with endless views of the vineyard and feast on comforting country cuisine. Executive chef Andrew Hickie is an internationally renowned chef with a resume that can’t be beat. Your tastebuds will be in for a treat.
